Thats because Europe is having a huge immigration crisis. Open borders across Europe have all but destroyed many of those countries. Too bad we cant learn from their horrible mistakes.

Speaking as an immigrant to Denmark myself, you've missed a very important fact in this piece: 97% of all Danish children go to government-subsidised day care when they are 1, including the children of the Danish Royal Family. It's not just for immigrant kids.

It is mandatory in that it is almost impossible for a parent to stay home with a child under the Danish tax structure, with 30-50% income taxes. As I said elsewhere on this thread, I am a parent myself, have lived in DK 18 years, and I know no stay-at-home parents. Zero.

So, no. It's not mandatory and the parents will not be penalized for failing to do so.

        Colonisers provided infrastructure and governance.

Please enlighten us --- why European "infrastructure" and "governance" was necessary in the West Indies, for example, why African slaves benefitted, why indigenous genocide was necessary. Just elaborate.

Look at Haiti once the Europeans were driven out. Colonialism provided the best governance before or since in most places.

In Haiti, before European, there were a peaceful people, the Tainos. After slave trade and then the Haitian Revolution, to overthrow slavery they were very successful until the French imposed a hefty $6million or threat of attack. Devastated economy.

(2/2) This is not a case of exclusively immigrant kids been torn away from their parents, which is how you've tried to frame it. Here's a slightly old stat saying that Danish kids generally start day care earlier than anyplace else in Europe.https://www.dst.dk/da/Statistik/bagtal/2011/2011-11-21-daginstitutioner …

I live in Denmark. The problem in Denmark, is that its a big compatition in politics, who can run the hardest refugee politics, because there will be an election soon. But the Ghetto plan wont work. They have no other place for people with a low income to live.
