Love of family is part of the corporate myth called 'work/life balance.' the truth is you are expected to give up your life for your work.

They also talk a lot about the importance of being pro-life when they really mean pro-birth. Thier actions don’t match up to thier words either.

So many Americans are uninformed. I see them protesting against separation of families at the border forgetting about the already existing separation. How many families are together in the U.S.?
-
That’s the point of the article. Policies keep american families apart. Working multiple jobs, poor access to good education, stress of healthcare costs. The protest about the immigrants is about treating people/children with respect, even if you have to deport them.

Americans don't love Black families. Let's be clear. This country was built off the backs of Blacks and our backs are still broken due to modern day racial injustices.

It's not about families, otherwise folks would be opening their doors to homelessness. Cali would not have a skid row or tent city. What it's really about is CONTROL.

Being human inherently means we prioritise childhood. That responsibility is to care for the social, emotional and physical needs of children. In a complex, anxious, digital world families can’t do that alone. Parenting is for all of us and forever.pic.twitter.com/yr6LshQZnW

Coz it's easy to spout the bromide about importance of families, but a but harder to put in place policies which support them eg proper maternity leave and creche provision. But those in power have the money so they don't have to worry about that....
