A year and a half after a New York Times correspondent was kicked out of Venezuela, he returned to see how people are holding on as inflation makes buying a single cup of coffee nearly impossible. https://nyti.ms/2tBef3Z pic.twitter.com/VWzQuszEfn

You’re being lied to regarding Venezuela. The socialist economy and system does work here without outside interference.

Are they part of the Paid opposition? I heard one report of a guy throwing hand grenades because he was, “an entrepreneur who isn’t able to start a business.” That’s not all of those “suffering” but it’s as anecdotal and usable as what you’re saying. Propaganda has two sides.

Venezuela and Nicaragua are in the middle of CIA-backed uprisings, and right-wing governments of Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador have left their people in abject poverty, catering to wealth and narco-terrorists. Mexico's in anarchy. Latin America's a mess.

It’s more complex than that. Who prints our money? At least theirs is printer by their government and not a private company.

Intervened with what? Venezuela had government intervention under Chávez & later Maduro. They were the ones who implemented price controls. This of course leads to shortages. https://twitter.com/Mortysuncle/status/1012128567843532800 …

You’re saying they implemented price controls when? Because you must be saying they did it before the US intervened. Right. Either the Venezuelan govt moved first or the US did. And the US was involved almost as soon as Chavez took office.
