In Opinion Op-Ed columnist @michelleinbklyn writes, "The right’s revulsion against a black president targeted by birther conspiracy theories is not the same as the left’s revulsion against a racist president who spread birther conspiracy theories."https://nyti.ms/2ts77H9

Conservative blows up bus. Media: That’s unfortunate. Liberal curses at man who blew up bus. Media: Hey hey, let’s be civil about this.

The Rights revulsion of Barack Obama was not because of the birther issue. It was his blatant disregard for the constitution. In either case, revulsion is not an excuse for violence or incivility.

Really? name one instance in which Obama blatantly disregarded the constitution. Because all you sound like is someone who completely disregarded the birther movement that got trump his start to begin with- pandering to ignorance. The rights revulsion was racist. Full stop.

Trump is a simple president for ordinary people, with simple solutions to problems, he is just a mirror reflecting the desire of some of the simple, poor Americans.

By simple do you mean simpletons? There's nothing simple about Trump he's a braggart and criminal. If it weren't for his money he'd be serving a long prison sentence.

Denying restaurant service to Sarah Huckabee Sanders was a “crisis of civility,” but stealing a SCOTUS seat was a “hardball tactic.” Got it. Words matter. I rail on the NYT a lot but this isn’t isolated to them. General media narrative is Dems are “rude” and the GOP is “tough.” pic.twitter.com/rWABusPP9h

Then perhaps the Nytimes should stop looking for redemption in these obviously lost souls by doing op eds about trump voters and trumps base. By lost i mean lost like lost to the sea or lost in the jungle. They are permanently lost. Forever.

The only reason for the birther conspiracy attacks was because at the time most racists were still hiding in the closet, Trump opened that closet door and invited them all out to play.
