In dissent, Justice Sonia Sotomayor wrote that the majority opinion represented a dark day for voting rights. "The court today does great damage to that right of equal opportunity, Not because it denies the existence of that right, but because it refuses its enforcement.” #Vote😣

Equal opportunity according to GOP is white men voting for GOP need to be allowed to do so even if it disenfranchises the 90% of others.

This for sure is the biggest danger to democracy. The complete gutting of voting rights will be the legacy of this court.

This ruling makes absolutely no damn sense. You know its Armaggedon when even the freaking Supreme Court is a partisan hot mess!

In the November 1996 issue of the now defunct "Emerge", the magazine had a caricature of Justice Thomas and referred to him as "Uncle Thomas. Lawn Jockey for the Far Right." I thought this was harsh but now realize how spot on it was. #Civility #SCOTUS #theview #ITMFApic.twitter.com/R4GndeP4jq

Makes sense that a conservative Supreme Court would do such a thing. The mind goes to reasons, and secrets, behind the refusal by Mitch McConnell and the Republicans to permit a nomination hearing in the last months of the Obama administration. What did they know? And how?
