"The movement itself is every day of the year." As people across the U.S. celebrate Pride, we asked readers what the movement means to them and what challenges they think the LGBTQ community faces today.https://nyti.ms/2tqF8Ye

It represents sadness. Sadness that a leading newspaper would celebrate immorality. Let the people live as they want. It is their choice. But let’s not celebrate it.

IMPO. You be you, what you do that makes you happy is not my business, but don’t try to force your way of life on me and my children and I won’t force my way of life on you and yours. It’s that simple... And that civil.

I AM A PROUD AMERICAN CHRISTIAN WHITE MALE MARRIED TO A PROUD BEUTIFUL WHITE FEMALE AND WE PRODUCE 3 INCREDIBLE YOUNG ADULTS. YOUR PROBLEM IS INDOCTRINATING IN SCHOOLS YOUR PERVERSE IDEOLOGY AND DILUTING THE TRADITIONAL FAMILY VALUES WITH YOUR OWN INSECURITIES AS A HUMAN.

And that’s exactly why pride events need to continue - to stand up to comments like yours!

It doesn't need to stand up, keep calm and sit-down, it is just a word expressing my feelings!!

While people show hate in comments like yours, there needs to be a lot more of the opposite to counteract those comments!

It expresses the feelings from such behavior not for the human himself! We are all belong to humanity but good and bad behavior based on one's principles & values!

A rather polite way to cover up what is otherwise bigotry, discrimination, hate and ultimately, homophobia!

It means after 12 years, 2 wonderful friends got to marry. They are such great guys & have treated me 1,000x better than any of my dysfunctional family members & helped me start a new life. (BTW I'm straight) It means kids don't have to be afraid to share who they truly are.

DONT shove it DOWN our throats. I don't CARE what your SEXUAL preference is; I don't want to see two heterosexuals acting like fools like you do.

As a Christian I am called to love all people and point them towards Christ. I have seen a gay person live a chaste and Christian lifestyle. The Pride movement refuses the possibility that a person can be gay and attempt to live a chaste lifestyle.
