New Zealand's prime minister said her newborn daughter's middle name, Te Aroha, which means "love" in the Maori language, reflected the amount of love the baby had received "before she even arrivedhttps://nyti.ms/2tsCocQ

When I visited NZ I was surprised at the respect for the Maori language and culture of most of the population. This is another proof of it!

Prime Minister of New Zealand Jacinda Ardern @jacindaardern also banned oil exploration http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=12030956 … unlike the idiot #trump who continues to push fossil fuels even though #RenewableEnergy Will be Cheaper Than Fossil Fuels by 2020 !

What a beautiful name. Is PM Maori?

No. There a few Māori words that are well known and used in NZ English, she didn't have to translate Aroha for anyone. The PM also chose the name to recognise the love behind the names her baby had been gifted by iwi, or tribes
