I’m so sorry about that, my friend. But it’s probably safer. I’m stopped several times a week and I’m from this country.

My family and I are currently on a six week holiday in Europe. We were planning to go to America & Canada but changed our plans last year. We might reschedule the Americas if things improve but tbh the more you reveal yourselves to the world the less appealing it seems.

I hear Canadian basements are much better than your American one. Maybe you should think about upgrading.

It’s a small step from “What’s your citizenship?” to “Prove it.” Think about that, US citizens. Driver’s license? Not proof. Do you carry your passport every day at home?

I live in NH. ME & NH r probably the whitest states in the country. My guess is that they are stopping Canadians from entering. So much for their killers/rapist theories. FFS, Canadians, the kindest people on earth. This is a vendetta against Trudeau, not national security.

The point is to support ICE's continued attacks on the southern border. If only the south has checkpoints, the administration can't claim it was race-neutral. If they set up some in the north, the searches, over-all, look race neutral enough to pass constitutional scrutiny.

That was my first thought, but then I pushed it aside because they could give a rat's ass about the laws. Trudeau has made them look smaller and they don't like that...
