Slur? There’s no slur here. There’s a white woman who has pretended to be Native American for personal gain and benefit. Calling her Pocahontas, or Fauxcahontas, is not a “slur” or insult to anyone except her; it’s a joke that point out her hypocrisy and deceitful selfishness.

Yes, she is a fraud, but calling her using the name Pocahontas is a slur. Donald is not insulting her, since she is not Native. He is insulting those of us whose ethnic identity she falsely claimed.pic.twitter.com/1Hjncxbc5z

No, he very specifically isn’t. You’re offended? So what. Nothing happens when you get offended. But Trump is not talking about any group of Native Americans when by calling a specific white fraud “Pocahontas.” You may not like it, but that doesn’t make it a slur against you.

He’s still using the name of a historic Native figure in a demeaning and insulting way, a term that has been used to demean Native women. It is a slur. It is an insult.

When he used the term at the ceremony for the Code Talkers, he was condemned by tribal leaders and the NCAI. I would think Native leaders and the largest, most representative body of Native people in the country is more qualified to determine what is an insult to us than you.

Donald Trump name calls because he's too dumb and lazy to give constructive criticism, which is what Sen. Warren did. I expect my legislators to be critical of problems we face. Trump is a problem.

Liz Warren is the Rachel Dolezal of Politics. How is this a slur? Warren incorrectly claimed to be of American Indian descent. She can easily take a DNA test to verify this. As long as she perpetuates this falsehood, she is a walking slur to Native Americans.

The perfect personification of the Republican Party. There is nothing else. I pity those who supported this miserable failure of a political party. Even die hard conservative George Will, who has dedicated his life to building up this catastrophe, has abandoned this sunk ship.
