How is it the countries the border refugees are leaving from can't be responsible for their expenses in the US? It seems our Medicaid system is depleted when it comes to taking care of our citizens in need. Washington is always cutting money for this program and healthcare.

Medicare and Social Security are also being cut while we are paying our part. There have been cuts to social programs and state funded college scholarships. But the United States still has to support other countries and their citizens on borrowed loans and a deficit.

Although the years chosen are broad, the Economist has Guatemala City (a population 10 times that of STL) listed at a higher homicide rate.https://www.economist.com/graphic-detail/2017/03/31/the-worlds-most-dangerous-cities …

My stats are completely accurate. Look them up yourself. Rate of murder per 100,000 is the only way to compare cities/countries apples to apples and is an accepted form of measure. You can’t alter a murder/100k rate to make it look better or worse. It is what it is.

My point is that cities and countries are not both apples. If you compare the two, then you must also consider population density. It would be more appropriate to compare murder rates of Guatemala and the state of Missouri, not just one city in the state.

Please don’t let this woman and her son be a triumph for Trump’s mess. They probably still have to be detained. Allowing only 1 distressed phone call is torture and there’s still thousands more families separated.

It's your own fault. Be a responsible parent. Don't try to come into the U.S. illegally. Its all in your hands. Look in the mirror. Own it.
