Such a beautiful little girl with a gorgeous smile. So sad for her parents and disgusted by the lack of support given to poor Mallory. Bullies should be punished, not protected. More should have been done for this little girl.

This story is so sad. Why wasn't she moved to another school by the parents or home schooled?

Also why didn't her parents take her phone away? Apparently most of the bullying happened online

Perhaps the parents should include themselves in the suit for being negligent about the social well being of their child. Suicide doesn't just "go off." Been there, raised three children who survived bullying with parental love, guidance and support.

Well lucky you. All kids are different.

Yes, all children are different. I am not assigning blame.... But as parents, we can instill confidence and self worth in our offspring by not indoctrinating them with a world depicting them as victims.

Blaming the victim, huh? This is a horrendously bad take.

I hope they win. To many schools do nothing to stop bullying

It becomes painfully obvious that society is not your friend when 6th graders kill themselves.

If your child is getting bullied you shouldn’t leave it up to the schools to fix...YOU FIX IT. Whatever it takes. Having said that I still agree with the lawsuit. Schools should not allow any type of bullying, but at the end of the day, parents can control their child’s destiny.

Most of it happened online. I live 20 minutes from this town. It's tragic and horrible but the parents never took away the phone. Why??? If my kid was getting attacked every time he looked at his phone, I'd take it away. For his own sanity

Absolutely. How does a 6th grader become so active online she can actually be moved to kill herself? These are horrible parents. I wouldn’t let my 11 year old have social media. Not a chance. Parents nowadays are horrible because we rely on GOV for everything.

Hence the reason they blame government for everything. I can't say I'd never sue my kids school, I love the school though and would do what I could to avoid it. They can't control everything either
