The EU is making good on its threats to retaliate against Trump's tariffs, moving to slap penalties on $3.2 billion of American products, like bourbon, motorcycles and orange juicehttps://nyti.ms/2tgNZfb

This is a war the EU will lose. Once the hit becomes too much to bare they will fold

You mean our economy of 500 million people, with 150+ FTAs, largest trading block in the world with growing trade? O....k....

Well it's just business so I say this with respect Wilhelm. Being the current strength of our economy we can weather a trade war and ya gotta admit the potus has a pair made of tungsten. It will be entertaining for us spectators either way. All the best to you Wilhelm

A trade war with the EU would be tricky enough, as they’ll concentrate their retaliatory measures on red states & attacking Trump’s base livelihood. But Trump has decided to start simultaneous trade wars with China, India, Japan, Canada & Mexico. Good luck with that 😂

Yea I'm not saying it's going to be easy Neil. It may not even work out well for us but the man was elected to shake things up so we owe him his shot

Yeah, I do understand that. But "pick your battles" doesn’t seem to show up in his vocabulary. Confrontating China while pushing Europe away (which has roughly the same economic clout as the US) is f*cking insane

Just to clarify: I am all for confronting China (despite of where I live). But his approach is insane, having another partner with $20 trillion combined GDP on your side, who is also being shafted by China, is vital
