Teach them some respect!

Respect is something you win not something you demand
-
These days? Young people don’t even know what respect means.
-
...and that’s what the “greatest generation” said about the “boomers.” Give it a rest; kids have always been like this. And the older generations are blind to their own experiences as young people.

Macron thinks he is Charles deGaulle
-
he is the president of my country and I attend the many changes and the least is to respect this function. it's not easy not to be populist nowadays ....
-
Even, not being a country’s president, what makes people think we are all friends and can call each other whatever they want? Is a matter of respect between two people

It was ridiculous and not very clever : he's gonna hear guys shouting "How's it going, Manu ?" in each public appearance from now on.

-
Here you are, an add-on that replaces each "M. President" or similar occurencies with "Manu" : https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/manu-auto-correct/eamgamedjemopbnggghghnciejnbdpoe … He's up for it until the end of his presidency, that's more Sarkozy/Trump style than Trudeau/Obama.

I watched the video and
@nytimes comes off as biased . Macron was polite but firm with the boy and he was absolutely right to correct him.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Imagine the outcry if President Trump did this.
-
His new fav word is “reciprocal”, well he hasn’t shown us respect, so guess we can’t reciprocate that respect in return. He’s a joke!
-
Reciprocity is important.

We have lived in France for a long time now, and what people need to understand is that the French teach their children manners! You are taught to respect, and I fully agree with M. Le President.
-
Can't agree further. That is what I voice for since basic etiquette and manners are must fr any nation to be called developed and economically sound. It is base for any progressive society as a whole, and no debate required to prove it. Simple as it sound...
