        Let's be clear. There is a difference between sexual assault & rape in the states' criminal code. In most states, rape & child molestation have no statute of limitations. However, sexual assault usually does bc with time those accusations are hard to prove.

        The goal being justice, if there's strong evidence, it should still be possible to resurrect a dead case. But it has to always be about justice over emotion. About doing what is right, in an honest and impartial manner.

        No, because the lifespan of evidence for DNA has limitations, and older technology causes limitations in cross examination and repudiation testing.

        what about the thousands of congressmen who sexually assaulted women then had a slush fund to pay them off.Women coming and claiming they where sexaully assaulted 30 years ago are being seen in court

        Yes, without question. Most can't find the courage to tell until long after. Especially those abused during childhood, where guilt and shame and fear cause silence. But the accused should also not be exposed unless found guilty. Both issues are equally damaging.

        They should never have been in place in the first place. Some crimes are so awful that they should be able to prosecute 100 years after if need be.
