New York City is taking another step toward reducing marijuana arrests. The mayor said most — but not all — people caught smoking will be ticketed.https://nyti.ms/2tajY0t

Why even ticket? Embrace it and make money from the taxes you will receive by legalizing recreational marijuana.

the reason law enforcement assholes oppose decriminalization is because it is used as a tool to harass minorities. it has been legal for white people for a long time

Oh poor baby.... using the race card because your liberal dictators gave you a talking point with a scapegoat. GET OVER IT. SMOKING POT IS A CRIME, DO A CRIME AND YOU DO THE TIME. I know you let the Clintons and illegals break our laws but the TIME TO PAY THE PIPER IS HERE.

One of my big questions is what will these changes in local and state laws mean to businesses large and small that have made mandatory drug testing a condition of employment. Will there be a marijuana exemption?

Hahaha Cmon man businesses are NOT about to just let all their employees run around high af. Testing will continue.

I realize that but what changes will they make do you imagine? THC un marijuana remains in your system for a while (in your blood, urine, and fat I believe) so your don’t have to be high on the job or applying for a job, right?

Idk I've thought the same thing. From asking around to employers everyone agrees that Marijuana can be a hazard to safety and alertness is a priority which Marijuana hinders. So drug tests would most likely be mandatory.

So it may be industry dependent what measures are taken? That makes sense. I guess we’ll learn more from stats that come from Colorado, Washington, Oregon, and California.

Definitely will be Interesting. Either way, there has always been a way around company drug tests. The key here is fewer incarcerations

Why not dump those old arcane draconian Rockefeller laws and get with the program. Alcohol is 1000 times worse yet you’re promoted everywhere As you lower the blood alcohol content level for incarceration. That’s just a moneymaking machine for the government.

Meanwhile, those involuntarily exposed to the smoke may fail drug tests and lose their jobs; just so De Blasio can pander for a few more votes; probably hoping voters are high on election day.
