Kirstjen Nielsen suggested that the Trump administration policy to separate children from their parents at the border was justified, in part, to prevent smugglers from posing as families. A fact check:https://nyti.ms/2yn26V0

Guilty until proven innocent is not how this country operates!!! The idea that anyone finds that acceptable is completely unacceptable!!!

0.19% in 2017. 0.61% in 2018. Every reporter needs to debunk this appalling lie that the Trumpers are spouting.

They say if we commit a crime we get arrested and separated from our kids but we can have a family member or friend care for them. Inmates get visiting rights. With this patents treated worse than murders do no rights and kids punished in jailed also. So wrong just wrong!

Looking forward to Trump cultists starting to parrot “315% increase in fraudulent family crossings!!” so I can say “uh yeah, from 42 cases to 191 out of 40,000 families attempting to cross from Oct. to March oooohhh scary”

Who needs actual facts? It's how the @GOP operate. When proven wrong time& again, they lie & generate talk amongst the stupidest of people until those idiots believe it to be factual. See foxnews The @GOP have caused this rift in our nation. They are making us weak and vulnerable

A fine example of dehumanizing the enemy. These aren't real families, not real kids. All fake, intended to deceive real Americans. Not real cries, just a bunch of actors. Another Guantanamo, but this time for kids. The greatest country in the world? That's the deception here.

Her multiple repetitions of “315 percent” implied calculated deception. No surprise there. But it was highly disappointing that the reporters on hand failed to press her on the actual numbers.
