"Quoting a racist dictator bent on genocide or his minister of propaganda has no place in our school or our community and it is deeply upsetting to all of us," said the principal of a Massachusetts high school after a Nazi quote was printed in a yearbookhttps://nyti.ms/2LZAVBz

I disagree on the intent. The quote is accurate as to the Big Lie theory that is trump's MO. I don't think the student was saying "do this", but showing the evil of using outrageous claims over and over, until we say this MUST be true, it is too awful to say it unless it's so.

I'd be more worried about the national leader trying to implement the idea as public policy than the HS senior screwing around with a yearbook quote, but that's just me.

Have we reach this level of foolishness? Tear-filled apologies for a saying which is considered common wisdom and doesn't make a refefence to any persons in particular? Are we gonna ban the quotes of any person who might fail our purity test? How how the world become like this?

“Make the lie big, keep it simple, keep saying it and eventually they will believe it” It's the motto of this administration.

Instead of being condemned, the student should be applauded. We are currently witnessing the very same type of propaganda campaign being conducted by our own government.

#Andover In another context, @radleybalko wrote: I keep seeing “this is not who we are.” Here’s a gut punch: As coverage of #FamilySeparation has intensified, Trump’s approval ratings appear to have improved. Seems to either be popular, or not unpopular enough to sway opinion.

It’s the one about repeating a lie often enough until people believe it.

The statement is true regardless of who originated it and it is amazing they want to pull it. What is most disturbing is that this is something Trump is implementing on a daily basis and no one seems to care, especially his brainless supporters.
