The 25-year-old mother from Guatemala was separated from her son when she got to the U.S. border. She was told they would be soon reunited. Instead, she was deported, while her son was left behind.https://nyti.ms/2LU5GI4

You made the claim. It’s your responsibility to support your claim by providing evidence. If you can't or won't, then it's reasonable to say that your statement is an unfounded assumption.

That article is about the facilities where children are interned after being separated from their parents. The original article in this thread is about parents being deported while their kids remain behind. Your belief is still unfounded.

Who gave her the right to try to invade our borders with her son? There is a legal way to gain entry to USA.. it's called legal immigration... 8 USC Sec. 1324 defines these people as #aliens... illegal aliens. NY Times and your ilk aid, abet breaking our laws.

Define asylum? The hordes of oppressed people, in your opinion, should have an open door to the USA... let's just send them all to NY, East Coast... then you can work five jobs - have your income redistributed in the name of #socialjustice.

It’s not a new term or concept. Most laws re: asylum seeking came about after WWII when many people were executed by Nazis after their asylum requests were rejected.

How is asking for asylum a misdemeanor? Since when does a misdemeanor result in having your children taken away? *45 is not allowing LEGAL immigration.
