Incredible performance from Mexico. Stuck with the game plan the whole time. Strong defense at the edge of the box and prepare for the counter-attack.

You were not watching if you believe they played good defense.. Germany missed almost all their shots and Mexico literally just stood their and let Germany do whatever

The missed their shots due to defensive pressure. You can say same for both.

Most of Mexico's shots came in transition. Mexico's set-up on the German end was terrible. But it didn't matter. They defended their box and took advantage of a counter-attack.

It's easy to say that after the fact. Don't lie, almost everyone expected them to win easily.

I love that my husband, who was cheering for Germany, suddenly screamed GOOOOAAL. I asked: did Germany score? He answered: No Mexico...but it was a beautiful goal. That's someone who genuinely loves and appreciates the game. Congratulations on a great game Mexico!

Mexico played like they wanted it more, while Germany were aloof and apathetic most of the match. Mexico deserved it. #MEXGER
