Other administrations stopped short of separating families, considering it too inhumane and too politically perilous to embrace as policy. Trump and some in his administration decided to take that step.https://nyti.ms/2LT6T2z

Why do white people act like breaking up families is a new low for America? What do you suppose happened when Black children were sold to one plantation while their parents went to another and siblings to yet another? What did you think you were doing to Black people?

There is not too many things in this world worse than separating a mother from her children and to take screaming children from their parents is inhuman and should be internationally illegal and against basic human rights.🇬🇧

We can send them to Britain. We are a nation of laws, suffer the consequences when broken .Some children come unattended, most have no documents demonstrating parental rights . Human trafficking the largest in South America a problem Britain doesn't have .50,000 migrants a month

Still doesn’t justify separating children from their parents and Great Britain has taken its fair share of immigrants and in comparison treat them a lot better.

That -is- what you typed. You care more about hypothetical, fictional children than actual children. What’s the point of bringing more kids into the world if you can’t even show some humanity for the one’s that are already around?

What’s the point of letting more illegal aliens with children in when we have millions of American families, children and Vets living in poverty? How about we show them some humanity first instead of ignoring them?

The Trump administration is NOT separating families. Familes CHOOSE to be separated rather than stay together outside the USA. Trump WANTS to reform immigration and stop this, but DEMOCRATS will not give him border security. It is THEIR fault, not his. Please STOP #fakenews

@realDonaldTrump and his AG are monsters. And worse, using scripture to justify their horrible approach. How can the world see America as a 'good' country w hen it's leaders separate young children from parents.

The precedents that Trump is creating with his daily assault on the truth and rule of law should give pause to people that support this president. Future presidents may use Trump tactics against the right.

The daily assault of the truth is by the media. This is not a precedent set by Trump. Obama did it before Trump. And the policy of mandatory detention was signed into LAW by Bill Clinton. The media is lying to you. https://www.judiciary.senate.gov/imo/media/doc/KIND%20-%20Betraying%20Family%20Values.pdf …pic.twitter.com/QherW57PB5
