Job description requires ability to lift X lbs and work on your feet Y hours. Employee is no longer able to do job. If an alternate job is not available, why should Walmart be forced to continue employment? What if the employee hurt her back playing golf? Still need to employ?

Why? If I have a small business that delivers packages, should I be forced to continue to pay an employee that can't continue to do their job because they become pregnant; or injured outside the workplace?

What im saying is pregnant women should not be forced to carry on lifting heavy objects, and if you neglect your duty of care to the expectant mother, then that is punishable by law. If you cant understand that you should not own your own buisness.

I was 6 months pregnant (and unemployed) when the recession started to turn around. I started getting phone calls for jobs I was completely qualified for. Contract to hire. I knew they'd see my pregnant self and put me directly on the bottom of the list. Why even waste my time?
