Once women become pregnant, many of them become second-class citizens at work. Their bonuses and chances for promotions plunge. Welcome to the reality of the American workplace for many moms.https://nyti.ms/2ydgejx

I was interviewing for a job while pregnant and the interviewer actually said “If we don’t hire you [and they didn’t], it definitely isn’t because you’re pregnant.” 🤣

My wife is currently dealing with this in many ways working as a state police officer and being pregnant for the first time. There are no guidelines or best practices in place for pregnant officers and in a force made up predominantly of males, it has been truly challenging.

I feel I was discriminated against because I didn't have children. Kids sick:leave early or not there at all; kids Dr. appt: leave early;kids school activities: leave early. No reduction in vacation days, sick days- why not, my days reduced when my hubby sick, etc.Just ridiculous

My mom was in 1982. She was working as a CSM at Walmart & helped them open multiple stores in North Alabama. She had severe morning sickness & ended up miscarrying. I don't remember if the miscarriage was before or after they fired her, but I do know that both related to the HG.

You should look at the ERA and watch Equal Means Equal, for stories related to pregnancy discrimination. And then read neanderthal George Will's recent piece on the ERA - And you will see why discrimination against women, by the wildly entitled old white guy, rages on.

I was discriminated against because I got married and *might* have children. When I had my first child, I was not offered the same opportunity to work from home as my other two coworkers. (One of which had kids and was already doing her work from home). I ended up quitting.
