National, State, and local Democratic leaders publicly asked him to drop out. His staff quit. His volunteer base turned against him. Many of those who voted for him likely had not heard of the allegations.

I suppose the idea is that we need to give people 2nd chances. And normally I'd agree with that...but there are some things that in my mind are unforgivable. You don't pardon Spousal Abusers, and you don't forgive Pedophiles. Just my opinion, but have a hard time with this one
-
I’m not terribly forgiving - and I don’t consider it a flaw. Lots of people get away with terrible things because they know they’ll be forgiven.

Valid point.

Archie should switch parties so he could run again. Republicans love hurting women and children .
-
He doesn't have to. The Democrats are perfectly happy with this guy. They have no problems voting for them. Keep in mind, Republicans REJECTED Roy Moore. You have no right to point your finger at anyone.
-
Republicans did not reject Moore. He may have lost but it was a loss with strong support from Republicans.
-
They didn't elect him in a dead red jurisdiction, and that's "strong support"? WTF are you babbling about? He lost in a state (AL) that previously hadn't elected a Democrat to any Senate seat in 25 years.

A person that abuses his partner is mentally disturbed and although it was 40 years ago, he is still the same person. Being an abuser is not “cured”.
