President Trump and Kim Jong-un committed to complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula. Why is a seemingly significant promise being dismissed by critics as meaningless?https://nyti.ms/2LK9JqE

Because both parties in this negotiation are liars? And one of them is likely guilty of crimes against humanity? The other is probably guilty of treason? New headline “Child warns of wolf, why is a seemingly significant threat being dismissed as harmless?”

Actually, he committed to ‘work toward’ complete denuclearization with NO time frame and no specific actions. NK has always offered that. Kim gave up nothing, and got ‘legitimization’ from the US president.

Don’t forget suspension of military exercises and getting the president of the US to call those exercises “war games”! The North Koreans must be flabbergasted by how easily manipulated our leader is.

Because North Korea promised it how many times before? We can start with that ...

And the verbiage can be gamed by each side to suit their political ends. Trump’s relying on his “good faith” in Kim. Zero accountability. Smdh

It was a dog and pony show and many in the media treated it like Nixon going to China. Just another episode of Trumplandia.

The coverage was disgusting. “Historic”? Historically horrific. What a desecration of our flag, the office of the Presidency, and US standing in global diplomacy. Despicable. I had to turn it off after that propaganda video. 🤢

Probably because Trump is just saying that’s what they talked about and agreed upon when they actually didn’t. Just like everything else he says... fake news!
