This is not the answer for Teachers to be armed. Shit it's not the damn military to go to school.

“Being training”? I know it’s Twitter, but you’re the New York Times. Does anyone there proofread these tweets before they go out?

Will it help ? May lead to gun battles between teachers and students instead of education. Close rapport between Parents and Teachers is the answer with regular meetings along with students. Frank and open discussions will help. Suspicious characters should be referred to Police.

In 1990 our Government enacted the Gun Free Zone Act. In 1994 they enacted the Gun Free Schools Act. In the almost 30 years of these policies, not ONCE has an Active Shooter been stopped by them. These signs are ensuring the highest casualty count possible within these zones.pic.twitter.com/nzZaVs0Ndf

Since 1990, mass murders at schools have dramatically increased.

That they have. But Lord forbid you correlate that to the erosion of liberty.

When you violate the rights of citizens with some ill concieved zone then ya reap what you sow. We can thank gun control advocates for turning schools into soft targets where the murder of innocent children is made easy.

Don't forget complacent media for feeding an entire generation lies and logical fallacies about how sacrificing their liberties will keep their children safe.

If the state prohibits guns on a campus, then it’s against the law for any teacher to take one to school. You cannot ask teachers to break the law! And there are other matters to consider: Is the teacher able to secure a gun while teaching? Can a teacher be trusted with a gun?
