"Otto was someone who did not die in vain." President Trump said the death of Otto Warmbier, an American college student who was detained in North Korea, helped precipitate the meeting between Trump and Kim.https://nyti.ms/2LJ5FGT

What does this mean? A young man was detained, tortured and killed and the dictator who made it happen is rewarded with a place on the international stage? Mr. Trump's mind is weak, his thinking convoluted; an unreasonable man.

So I guess the lesson here for all you aspiring dictators is: kill some American hostages and get yourself some nukes and we'll roll the red carpet out for you?

Did help precipitate that meeting really though? Like, really? Cause it doesn’t seem like this and other human rights violations were on the the top of trumps mind. Seemed more interested in real estate and doing something obama didn’t do

This like politicians who envoke 9/11, especially ones only watched unfold on TV from hundreds of thousands of miles away. I doubt his family agrees with Trump's assessment on the death of their son.

Except that he just hailed Warmbier's murderer as a heroic leader and wonderful man without extracting any price at all for Kim's massive human rights abuses. So Trump's statement... doesn't remotely make sense.

Sadly, his parents would disagree. Nothing about this Summit had a thing to do with Otto being held and ultimately dying for no reason. Period.

How disrespectful to his family. He went there for a photo op and continally gave praise to a dictator and then got gave in to stopping military exercises in return for nothing and then talked about building Trump condos there.
