Everyone talks about suicide when two celebrity's kill themselves yet when thousands of vets and children commit suicide its rarely talked about.

Life is tough, I think. Suicide is an emergency exit for those who can't take the toughness. Which means, the governments should work to provide its citizens with more favourable emergency exits other than Suicide, where life becomes affordable to live

Our attitude toward suicide cannot become more “tolerant,” as the article suggests it may have. The devastation suicide leaves behind is immeasurable. It should be treated as a major public health crisis.

No it's an indictment of Liberals perpetrating beliefs that are unnatural to God's ways and people continue trying to make them work and it will never happen, good vs evil fight begins and the fight is too hard

Is it an indictment of the US Mental Health “system” or an indictment of US mental health?

It is now escalating because it is about celebrities? Hundreds of adolescents are commit suicide yearly and it's just another news; not until it touches"the giants". Those who never cared about these people's real problem while alive, might care about the nature of their deaths.

If you can no longer live for yourself, then start to live for others. It's painful , yes, life is beautiful but not easy. If you can no longer find happiness in what you are doing for yourself, then find meaning in doing good things for those who cannot do them for themselves.

Not saying you are. Religious faith is a beautiful thing for so many, and truly helps them thru their depression. However, it has to encompass the entire mind, body & soul. Not all people of faith believe that. Tho, I wholly admit, that can apply to anyone these days.

I know some depressed people, they say, they feel alone. Told her, try God. Her response was, don’t believe in God... the religion is bad and it’s a fiction. They have been brainwashed... we need to re-introduce in our schools...!

The trouble with medication is knowing which one will work. That means trying one and just "seeing what happens". Zoloft was bad news for me. Some people can handle it. Some people can't. The "wait and see" method doesn't work if someone doesn't want to wait to get "better".

I keep an eye out for friends and acquaintances that are destabilizing. Countless other family and friends do the same. We can't look at psychopharma as a one-size-fits-all fix for the deeper issues. Community is critical in this.
