It may be weird that I say this every day, but I hate lava. HATE IT! When I type I hate, my auto predict suggests lava.

Poorer people die faster and in greater numbers. Simple. Always been that way.... less warnings, less infrastructure, less relief effort. But what do I waste my time anyway tweeting... all our wealth is stained by genocide and the NYT is the pinnacle of the establishment

No...these are different types of volcano. The Hawaiian volcano is a shield type meaning it generally erupts slowly and methodically. Guatemalas is a composite of cinder cone volcano and erupts more violently and can be devastating. Not about poor or rich its #science and #facts

Possibly the Guatemalans are more sinful than the Hawaiians.

Pyroclastic ashflows are just much more dangerous than lava flows.

This is really unfair to the environment. Volcanoes should simply be banned by the international community as they produce much more damage than antropo activities. Actually they should be taxed as a punishment for their subversive activities.

Also, geology. The article, despite its off-putting title is pretty straightforward in the explanation.
