Mental strenght or not, their team for this World Cup is not strong enough.

Good luck this time, Mexico. Would love to see you guys break through and advance. Hopefully see you in 2022, too (meaning hoping that Team USA gets back to the WC then). Good luck.

Reality is that many Mexicans and the media don't like their coach, I think the guy is very smart, we'll see what happens.

Mexico is a good team if it plays against USA, Honduras, Costarrica etc, etc. But if it plays against an European team, it is a shame for its people.

Unfortunately with this coaching staff it is going to be even worst, they coach lack the fundamentals of the game, highly unprepared and lack of experience in world cup scenario, if "El Tri" survives the first round its going to be because of the heart of the players only.
-
Its more about the lack of talent from most of these players. They’re very irregular in their clubs in Europe. Also they showed poor mentality with other “tri” managers too. Coaches are the ones that always gets the blame for everything. But never, never the players.
-
By any chance do o you know who called the players in?
-
What do you expect? Those are the “best players” from a list of mediocre players all around. Mexico doesn’t have the material to form two teams. The ones didn’t get picked are even worst. Why do you think they always fail when they play with the B squad in the golden cup?
-
Actually that's not completely accurate, there are at least 3 players that should be there, Pizarro, Vázquez and Molina, instead of Gio, Marquez, Reyes and or Gutiérrez, just as an example, then the coach has 48 different players line ups to start a game under his belt, not good
-
Molina and pizarro are average to say the least. Nothing major would change if you included those 2 players. They’re not top notch material. And gio and Marquez are not part of the starting team anyway. There’s always “controversy” with the mexican or any other country roster.
-
what is the logic to call in a player that is excelling in his natural position just to put him to play on a d
