In @NYTOpinion Sarah Jackson writes, "Anthony Bourdain was not just curious about food and the world. He was aware that injustice and inequality are systemic issues, and he never shied away from pointing that out."https://nyti.ms/2sJnL4G

Anthony Bourdain spoke up for the immigrants, the oppressed, AND he spoke up for mid-American food critic from N. Dakota & conservatives in http://W.Va . He went into the heartland of America to find the truth & middle ground unlike NYT snarkologists. /2

What makes Anthony Bourdain special is not just he speaks up for one kind of powerless, but all kinds of powerless including those the NYT disagrees with. He tried to bridge the gap while NYT tries to divide. Shame on you NYT 4 distorting what he had done. /3

He killed himself. His son will be traumatized for life. Very selfish act, causing pain for all who may have loved him. Buck up bucko! You have a charmed life. Nobody said it would always be easy.

Bourdain took the “Coward’s Way” out. For a dichotomy of courage, look no further than Charles Krauthammer, who kept fighting to the bitter end. That’s what a “REAL MAN” does!!!

Yes, a different choice, but his decision on how to deal with/end his pain, while tragic and sad, was his to make, as is Krauthammer’s. Depression is insidious. How dare you besmirch such a fine man. He made a positive difference in this world. Your statement is ugly and cruel.

I meant Anthony no disrespect and I liked him and his shows A LOT. But, I’m a man of Catholic Faith, and believe that Suicide is an abomination, cowardly, and above all, SELFISH! If he was empty, he should have turned to God, for solace.
