Well let’s see. NY pays teachers some of the highest salaries, benefits & pensions. NY taxes it citizens some of the highest taxes in the country. NY spends nearly the highest dollars per student in the country Yet it’s not enough. NY should look at getting more for dollars spent

What kind of early childhood education does NY have? This seems to be the best way to nurture a merit-based system. To place children without the correct background does everyone a disservice.

This phenomenon of high-achieving Asian students is not just an ability to pass a single test-it’s reflected in my son’s huge high school. My white son is a minority on academic teams because so many SE Asians are driven to work hard and succeed (less belief in talent, I think).
