The excess of material things and a lack of spiritual life and the true sense of life is a disease of our time. In my case, I go for Jesus Christ

The #CDC has blood on their hands. This campaign to reduce all pain and psych medication is leading to suicide. They refuse to acknowledge what THEY have caused.

it's almost as if being directed to voluntarily commit yourself to the failing in-patient program provided by the American health system doesn't sound more appealing than death? Certainly not to someone so miserable they consider death the greatest option. Shocking, truly.

They are great for some, but helplines are no use to many millions of people in crisis. Suicide is a preventable death, but policy makers won't invest in good care. Them tweeting the number of a suicide helpline is no substitute for good clinical care and educating the public.

I think preventing sucide is not easy. This is because most often those who commite sucide reaches their free human will alone, and they cant tell it to anyone that "i want to commite sucide" . But even if it is a must do...........then one should think otherwise

Telling/pleading with someone to call a number or visit a site is good, but those in pain find it hard to trust. We’re lonely, depressed, see ourselves without hope or friends. It’s not rational, but that doesn’t make our pain less real.

My advice to anyone who reads this: be intentional with your friends and family. When you ask someone how they’re doing, stop and really listen. And then ask again: “no, seriously, how are you REALLY doing?” Be involved. Freely give your love, hugs, time, etc.
