If you or someone else you know is having thoughts of suicide, call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255 (TALK) or go to https://www.speakingofsuicide.com/resources  for a list of additional resources

It's sad that people like you have to make everything political. Instead of talking about how we can become united and save lives. You rather talk silly. Mental health issues have no labels do better or log off social media.

Shocked & very sad. People are depressed & with this admin & having a traitor in the #WhiteHouse acting as President, people are traumatized on top of being depressed. Reg folks, legislators, veterans all feeling hopeless, no hope for change in site. RIP to two of our favorites

Yeah, you are right. I feel depressed every time when I listen to Trump speech. He had/has nothing productive to say, but lies, brags, blames, credits and protects Putin, and then more lies. I am so stressed out by this Administration. I am seeking help from a shrink.

Probably totally unrelated to our vast income inequality and continuous destruction of social safety net programs.

If it is "income inequality" then why do whites and males commit suicide at a higher rate?https://twitter.com/spectatorindex/status/1005063504062058496 …

        Matthaios added,

        The Spectator Index @spectatorindex
Suicide rates in the US by race, 2016. (per 100,000 people) White: 15.1 Indian: 13.3 Asian: 6.6 Black: 6 (American Foundation for Suicide Prevention)

"Rates" take into account disparities in population sizes.

Not surprising, as America has been on a mission for almost 20 years now to demonstrate hostility towards the majority of its citizens - in addition to the rest of the world.

This is more than just treating mental illness - as important as that is. It is about understanding mental health & creating a culture promoting mental wellness. We bemoan suicide, but scorn practices of good mental health & continue to put unrealisic expectations on people.
