Greece has declared an economic recovery. Try telling that to the doctors and engineers who fled years ago and have no plans to return.https://nyti.ms/2xODNzj

America has declared an economic recovery. Try telling the college students who have 2 find food & housing while in college. Once they graduate & get a job just see how much money goes into their pockets after they pay their taxes, college fees, car payments, insurance & rents.

It has been ten years... if they declared bankruptcy they would have been better off. Now they are a vassal state!

No investments, cut on wages and pensions... There is not any economic recovery. Even though we love our country, it is very difficult to have a decent life anymore.

Take my word for it, Greece works one way to the road of succees, they need strong rulers not a socialist/ communist regime as it is now. I lived in Greece. Unfortunately they need a Metaxa or bring back the three colonels. At 55, they get a pension 🙀

In 1953 Germany begged the US, GB and France who held their WW2 debt at the London Accord to forgive half of their debt and spread the rest out over 30 years. Why couldn't Germany extend the same courtesy to Greece when they implemented austerity?

Because the Germans have forgotten their barbarity. They need to be reminded what they did to the world . History repeats it self

Not barbarity, their lack fiscal policy. If you want to rebuild your country you might want to remember the people who hold your debt. Just like what America is doing with China. Who do not want to piss off?

That's not 100% true at all. There are many of us that are perfectly aware of the bad state of things & the nationally embarrassing, pathetic current government - and yet still are looking for a way back (assuming that it has a minimum degree of financial decency)
