This is peak McConnell: Spineless, petty, procedural, and probably more effective than it has any right being.

The right obstructed for 8 years and there have been more judicial nominees appointed, almost historic, than in the Obama administration (due to GOP obstruction), and Merrick Garland.

Today's Republican party is so drunk with power they will break any rule, any norm to hold onto it. It makes me so sad.

That’s ok, new candidates running for repub seats don’t need to be in DC. That also means repubs can’t go home either.

Right, if I were a member of the gop, I’d hate to face a town hall full of citizens and report that there’s more jobs available than there are unemployed workers. I shudder at the thought.🙄

Then how come all the GOP candidates are running from their constituents? The Jobs report isn't all its cracked up to be, wages are stagnant, rents, medical expenses, and gas prices are all skyrocketing making the average worker poorer then they were 10 years ago. Wake up.

If they were poorer, wouldn’t that mean there would be a rise in the welfare rolls? Not less? You forget that income went down under obama, welfare rose because gee, 95% of his job creation were part time. Cherry pick much?

Not when funding is cut and that welfare is unavailable, and there actually has been a rise in requests for assistance, and the pay cut was more due the the financial collapse caused by Bush 2 and his wall street cronies. So who's Cherry picking now
