That being said I hate the $300 bats in youth baseball. Some of those bats give a big advantage. Add in the pitching and batting coaches for 9 year olds and it just doesn't seem fair.

Instead of some kids having a personal $400.00 bat , why not everyone share reasonably price bats for the entire team. Then the playing field would be truly equal.

Not everyone is strong enough to swing the same bat.

I am not saying to have one bat . If the children are in the same age a few bats will do for the entire team Spending $400.00 on a bat for a kid is insane . This puts financial pressure on children's families. Do kids in the Dominican Republic have $400 bats ? I highly doubt it .

Thank god my son is in HS now and this doesn’t apply to him. I’ve already invested soooo much money on baseball over the years.

I didn't mind the Mako ban since we knew it was coming for more than a year, but several kids in our league were caught days before the season began with a ban on their replacement bats. It was a mess.
