He didn't "turn away a gay couple" he told them he would be happy to make them a cake but he couldn't do a gay wedding theme because of his religious beliefs. Just another case of NYT trying to herd their sheep.

You’re trying to use logic and facts. I know it’s tough but you must remember they don’t live in that world anymore. It’s all about feelings and what the media tells them they should think.

Bigotry, thinly veiled as religious freedom, wins the day. This is what happens when you don’t vote.

Freedom will always win. God bless America

I'm still trying to understand how a business, a non breathing entity, has religious beliefs. Discrimination by businesses just got legalized
-
Any religiously run business has the right to deny service to anyone for any reason. Its within their rights.

Our highest court now gives legal coverage to bigots. Next up: religious objections to renting to Muslims, hiring Jews, and equitable pay for women.

Imagine if the baker was Muslim. Doubtful they would have ruled the same.

Sounds like SCJ consistently side with business above individuals. The baker owns a business. That business should not be able to discriminate against an individual. What’s next? Imagine Wal-mart, Apple, Amazon, or Google discriminating those the owners find offensive? Please!

Google, Facebook and Twitter are already in the news for anti-conservative and anti-Christian discrimination, so that is a weak example, plus they are public companies and that is different than a private company.
-
How is that a weak argument? Is it okay for them to discriminate? Whether it’s anti-conservative or anti-gay, racism or against disabilities - it’s discrimation.
-
Saying it's 'okay' is different saying it's "legal". This case shouldn't have been about religious freedom, but about freedom of association. If a business doesn't want to do business with anyone for any reason, that is their right. Let the court of public opinion sort it out.
