The whale washed ashore with nearly 18 pounds of plastic in its stomach. Veterinarians had tried to save its life all week, to no avail. https://nyti.ms/2JaTmqc  [corrected link]

@Publix take note, the plastic bags are killing the Earth. Be more aggressive in offering alternatives to plastic bags. Offer paper, discounts for reusable bags, feature and encourage recycling more prominently. Or eliminate plastic entirely - works in EU and Chile.

@WinnDixie Please offer an alternative to plastic bags - paper, discounts for those who bring reusable bags. Whole Foods can do it, so can you. We are choking and ruining the planet by being cheap and lazy at the grocery store. Offer and encourage recycling in the store as well.

The core truth is that humans have expanded so much in population and we require packaging to distribute our needs. We expect so much and we need so much and the environment suffers from it.

Whale washed ashore contained nearly 18 pounds of plastic. A humongous dump is what's becoming of our oceans as humans continue on the suicidal mission of pollution. Toxic infatuation! We won't need a nuclear war, pollution will kill us all.

New digestible “plastic” made of wheat and barley is working its way into the “food chain” - not fast enough, but coming!

How appalling. We are literally ruining the world by being lazy at the grocery store.
