Rappers are young men preoccupied with video vixens and what not. They lack grace themselves and live as prey among predators out to get a piece of their fame and money. It leads to deep cynicism they have to work hard to overcome. See Jay-z...

In america, people go to church. These women happen to be black and go to the same church. Its a coincidence. Why do you think its some systematic separation. It isnt 1967.

During jim crow, the black church(they were legally prevented from attending church with whites) was the only place black people could gather without being arrested. Though that isn't the case today, many black people still treat the church as a social function.

There’s no monolithic image of black womenhood, from Oprah and Michelle to ratchet TV there’s already a broad spectrum on display. These writers are willfully blind to anything that doesn’t jive with the narratives they try to advance. Energy is better spent on struggling moms.
