23 minutes isn't an album. Fight me.

The Weeknd’s was shorter
-
He said it wasn't an album thoooo
-
didn’t know that. but are artists obligated to fit as many tracks on an album for the sake of it being long enough or is it better to have the album’s tracks cohesive while fitting a theme or telling a story

-
Artists arent obligated, but an EP can still be thematically or narratively cohesive. Similar to a short film. Idk, maybe I'm torn by the context since hip hop/rap doesn't usually label such short works as albums, the way punk or hardcore does.

truu. i’m a little disappointed it’s not longer too but i love that he’s so raw and real about what’s gone on within the last month of his life. when musicians go through anything publically we rarely get music expressing what they’ve gone through so fast

I'll never get past his 'slavery was a choice' thing.

In Kim’s comment, I see common sense, good grasp of reality and sensitivity, which Kanye and his followers lack of. Good luck with his ‘music’ and influence!

You don’t live in America, right? I can see how desensitized you are. But I would like to turn this to a more positive conversation. It is time for you to be engaged and understand why Kanye’ slavery comment was so out of place.

Lynching, getting threats for voting, Jim Crow laws were not a ‘state of mind’ and were fully in effect in the 50s. We are dealing with the aftermath. The opportunities the parents at that time had or didn’t have, affected their children.
