The London police have blamed a bleak rap genre, drill, for a rise in violence. They've gotten YouTube to take down more than 30 videos.https://nyti.ms/2LeDnnB

This is the turn the left will take after step one taking away the 2nd amendment is complete. Step two take away 1st amendment, step three take away 4th and 5th amendments.

I don’t think people realize how hard it is to get rid of an amendment.

You don't need to get rid of it. Just legislate it into oblivion. This is being done with several of the amendments in the Bill of Rights.

I’m all for free speech—and then some. But countries have rights to set a tone for the culture of its citizens. A nonviolent culture should be the goal of EVERY country, city and person. Fantasized violence is ugly in every form of media. #noviolence

So, an entire generation growing up on RPG video games and shoot-em-up movies can have their violent outbursts blamed on one particular form of rap music, huh? Welcome to 1988, people. 🙄

A violent music genre that originated in Chicago. Shocking.

The suggestion of an idea can be a dangerous thing. It's why China is so wary of letting the population ingest new ideas. Rap is bad ideas and it's legacy will be how many people ended up dead, addicted or in jail because they listened to those suggestions. Exploitive profiteers.

ah, yes. when people turn to violence in response to the desperate social and economic conditions that are the inevitable by-product of capitalism, the solution is to prevent them from posting videos about it on line
