Because Trump and the governor didn’t want people to know it was a national disaster of epic proportions, which is why they yelled down the mayor of San Juan who begged for aid.

The Major of San Juan, has unattended areas, parks full of garbage and abandoned. I live in San Juan and I can attest to that. But, shows its image in the United States different from what it really is. we Puerto Ricans know the reality

The country went through a disaster that we have not yet recovered from. the electrical system is vulnerable, there are still places that do not have light, despite the help that the USA has given, there is still a lot to be done.

America has NOT failed Puerto Rico, they received $16 Billion from FEMA & hundreds on Millions from charities, Puerto Rican’s don’t even pay personal federal taxes to the U.S.A. but now complain about lack of help! Hurricane Maria was a natural disaster you can’t blame America

To my surprise, you have MAGA written in your profile.... America has spent over 300 billion a year in Afghanistan and Iraq, so 16 billion for our own province doesn’t seem too much if not entirely too little

Because the @POTUS doesn’t care about #PuertoRicans. He equates them to subhumans on an island somewhere, he doesn’t know where, who claim to be Americans. Trump has abandoned #PR and so has the @GOP. #VoteBlue #PuertoRicanDeathToll 🇺🇸🇵🇷

Why the hell does it matter ? Aren't they AMERICANS? Did you ask the citizens of Cali or Florida or Texas that. Will you ask the People Hawaii that? We were responsible. America was responsible for helping AMERICANS and failed.

PR to s a territory of America, but they run their own country free from interference from us. They knew they had problems before the hurricane. This disaster just gave them the attention to highlight it and place the blame some where else. Hope this helps...

we have a real problem. It has nothing to do with the debt problem. There are people who have died because they do not have electricity in their homes. Many people with depression, others have died burned in their homes by using candles to not be in the dark.
