I'm old enough to remember when Obama was accusing of "picking the winners" when he signed off on investments in solar. One can't accuse Trump of that, however. Trump seems only fixated on picking the losers.

So, the coal and nuclear plants are unprofitable but he demands they remain open because it looks bad for him if they close. Sure, makes sense.

What? Heavy-handed government interventions by THIS administration? A market-forces-be-damned parry? Wow. I'm shocked.

Is this legal?. What happened to the Republican part of free enterprise and minimal government intervention in the markets?. Downright surreal.

Trump is embracing the dictator inside him and seeing how it taste. Communism was very good at doing exactly what Trump has ordered Perry to do and we know how that turned out. Question is - just how does Perry force an industry to continue unprofitability.

If they aren’t profitable, why keep them open. He should be setting up training programs for remaining workers to transition to newer plants or other technologies, providing funding to loacal unemployment agencies so they can provide services to those laid off, modernizing.

tRump was never good at business. It’s not hard to reach that conclusion based on facts. He will tank the economy and all the economic strides @BarackObama made will be lost.

The GOP, while Obama was saving America's auto-industry: "The President shouldn't be picking winners and losers!" The GOP, now: The Sound of Silence is louder.
