Asking an agency to investigate potential wrongdoings within its agency is definitely part of our system.

Meh, not so much. Almost every other party knew that government's party need to go away because of the corruption cases that still has several of it's members. And almost every political party in Spain is pro Europe.

Esos si que tienen para ellos, llevan más número de gobiernos, que años su república, según decían en radio ayer... Si no es por el norte y su tejido productivo, ese país se habría hundido hace años...

NYT yr Europe analysis r so shallow that r embarrassing “political uncertainty”? Why don’t u talk ab citizen humiliation by corrupt n totally inefficient politicians? Populist? Italian, Spanish, Portuguese n Greek r more Europeans by history n belief that all the Eurocrats ..1/2

... in Bruxelles, to discuss European rules DOESN’T mean to want to b out of Europe or € , stop saying lies. Probably yr eyes r obfuscated by Trump’s fog that u cannot see clear. Give back to Southern Europeans their dignity, report the truth, otherwise shame on you 2/2

Political uncertainty? PP is the most corrupted party in Europe, I don't think there is any other country more corrupted and undemocratic than Spain in Europe right now, so any uncertainty coming will be better.

This is untrue & delusional. Rajoy didn’t lead anything, let alone Spain’s economic recovery (just look at current unemployment rates): “He led the country through a European banking bailout (...) before finally leading Spain back to economic growth in late 2013.”

It was time this happens. His political party Partido Popular has faced dozens of corruption cases of many members that hace resigned. They were the bigger minority on last election and formed government just with alliances. After the party was found guilty for corruption he's out.

It doesn't amplify any political uncertainty. It's been a perfectly legal and calm change of government. The corruption of the former president was leading to the destruction of the Spanish institutions.
