As a travel destination, California’s capital gets no respect. But it should.https://nyti.ms/2IZA72B

I thought @TheCityofSac would be more open minded but it's not. It's half country, half hot as hell. It's nice but kinda like West Texas.

I've spent a lot of time in both, and you have no idea what you're talking about. You see any trees in West Texas? Sacramento is the freaking #Cityoftrees!

Aw man, so many detractors in his thread!! When is the last time anyone even visited? Summer mornings and evenings are arguably gorgeous. Seriously great food, wine and coffee scenes. This town grows on you! What say you @Mayor_Steinberg? #sacramentoproud

I meant BEER scene (but you can find good wine). And I’d add burgeoning art/music scene.

The homeless are nice this time of year. The rivers are unsafe to swim in due to human feces for the bums. @Mayor_Steinberg has continued to follow in @KJ_MayorJohnson footsteps turning #Sacramento into a #shithole #prop47 #prop57 #ab109

Los Angeles is much older. 1781 - A group of 11 families settles by the river. Felipe de Neve, Governor of Spanish California, names the settlement El Pueblo Sobre el Rio de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Angeles del Río de Porciúncula. The name is shortened rather quickly.
