A new book recalls President Obama’s shock after the 2016 election. “Sometimes I wonder whether I was 10 or 20 years too early,” he told aides.https://nyti.ms/2IZwqtO

Up comes dinner!! Obama was a self serving, narcissistic, divisive racist. Trump was a direct rejection of Obama. Get over yourself Barry!

It shook us all....and still is. Obama was right on time and now we need the next “right on time” to get us out of this mess.

Seriously? There has been more controversy in the last 18 months from POTUS than all 8 years of Obama. Wait....I’m having a hard tine coming up with even one instance of controversy on the level of Trump.

I miss having a President who is so perceptive, I’m grateful that he was President in my life time. He may be right. 😢

Yes. He changed so much. Nooot. Same old ,and worse, foreign policy, nothing on gun control with 2 years of full control of the Congress ,doubling the national debt, increased division and so much more. Why is this guy like a God to you?

I am also grateful for his presidency. But sadly unsurprising a terrible backlash occurred. Political change in the USA can be glacial.

An extremely likeable, funny and gracious man doesn't equal a perfect president. He's made many mistakes. You people try to defend him at everything he's says and does. What about what he said about the Special Olympics f.e.? How did you find that?

Not too late nor too early. No one should surprised by the political shifts in this country. We do need to update the system. We might as well be running Windows 94. We do have a serious hate problem in this society. We love it. How about some real change. Maybe we're all wrong

The hatred from both democrats and republicans is astounding. No one is interested in trying to understand one another. I’m most appalled by the malice from the left who say they fight for inclusivity and tolerance, which turns out to only be true if there is agreement with them.
