Can we give the $100 million to teachers to buy supplies for their classrooms instead?

No, that makes too much logical sense. But seriously, if that 100 mill is budgetable, then there's no excuses - spend it on the right stuff!

To stop gun violence all pupils should be subjected to a daily compulsory check at the school entrance. All backpacks should be checked by the school security operatives since the Govt is not ready to amend gun laws.

Shooters don’t come in to school for a normal day, then decide after math class it is time to do some killing The ONLY solution is simple. Much tighter regulation of firearms. License, inspect, register, require insurance. Just like a car.

Now it’s damn time every state do the same. I don’t know what these ppl are waiting for— how many shootings does it take before everyone gets on board with securing schools! @AndrewPollackFL

The problem is the GUNS. Don’t over complicate things. Schools should be like community centers, not institutions resembling prisons. This will only do lasting damage to these kids in more ways than one.

You need to get out more. Many schools have security in place and it’s not visible or intrusive. Single entrances; bullet proof glass, built in metal detectors; plain clothes security; cameras, auto class room door locks. Airports don’t look like a prison do they? No.

All of a sudden money pops up for not gun carrying people and yet teachers are still stuck with a meager salary.

Makes sense. What’s the point of giving billions to Pakistan or other countries as AID and not secure the future of America by investing on internal security
