"We feel surprised by the tactical statement issued by the White House, and yet it was also unsurprising," said the Chinese Ministry of Commerce after the Trump administration declared that it would push ahead on tariffshttps://nyti.ms/2L9ikmu

I'm sure the fact that Princess Ivanka's 7 patent applications have been approved in China now has no bearing on the timing of this....

That means they're laughing at the idea of this. It only hurts the US Economy. They'll just trade to other countries.

They already are free to trade with other countries and do. Playing softball led to these huge trade deficits so time to play hardball

Thank you. This was a concept I became aware of while living in Costa Rica. Ticos refer to people from the US of A as estado-unidenses (United Statsians) which is more accurate for what it is used to describe than Americans. Makes sense. #estadounidenses

Alternatively the qualified term U.S. American is also accurate. Just like saying U.S. Post Office, U.S. Navy, U.S. Government, U.S. Personnel, etc..

We cannot win a trade war with China. For one thing, Trump is not very smart when it comes to business or having contingencies. China can wait it out a lot longer than we can, besides Trump doesn't care if our farmers and other businesses lose everything! #MuellerTime #Traitor

I'm sure you're mistaken. Our Dear Leader has assured us that trade wars are good - and EASY to win. And as he has also told us that he is "smart," and has "great words," it must certainly be true.

I don't know why he thinks China owes us...we owe China! He's a natural idiot! They're probably laughing because the tariffs will hurt us more than them. They can deal with other countries..we're limited!
