My husband will be home from Iraq soon with any luck, the whole time he has been there this is the kind of thing we worried about. Not losing him for me. Losing him for our daughter. May the families of the fallen have a blessed Memorial day.

It's good if a person can cry by recalling someone or lovely moments of past; but it's really miserable if eyes don't shed tears.🙏🙏

Maybe the next time some @NFL player wants to kneel during the National Anthem, they should read some of these letters. When they're kneeling, maybe they can also remember & honor the truly brave men & women who gave their lives to give them the privilege to kneel. These kids do.

I think the point was missed when they chose the anthem to stake their flag.

The people in this country are so good at picking & choosing when they want to support our troops. Our soldiers & families are not something to be dangled for false patriotism. The flag represents the country, they are protesting injustices being done here not us. Pretty simple.

I served, so save me the preaching. The anthem is a simple sign of respect to those who serve and have served hence the color gaurds, fly overs and all the other pomp and circumstance involved. It isn't a statement of allegiance to a flawed nationalistic view.
