Journalists today are "career killers"; looking for a story that elevates themselves but ruins another person's life. They're also very lazy, look no further than the Trump reporting as an example. Journalism is a dead profession.

Caine told a story about how he accidentally suggested a woman was pregnant when she wasn’t. Pause Freeman “I was I had been there... “ [to see Caine’s faux pas]

This is... not a good moment for the NYT. Freeman may have some legal action he can pursue, and I wouldn't blame him.

The whole article is also rife with speculation. The concrete example is just a misunderstanding, obviously, & the rest of the “accusers” are anonymous. I’m all for exposing bad behavior but this is a huge disservice to the movement, & to journalism.

This is just dumb. Men hit on women. It's what we do. Looking a woman "up & down" or making a comment, even a lewd comment is not cause for a CNN segment. Try to find a guy in Hollywood who doesn't do that. If you can't I'll give you Charlie Sheen's number.

In a professional setting it is considered harassment. She was there to work, not look for a date with an elderly man. Plenty of men are capable of controlling themselves and of flirting in a way that doesn't dehumanise the other person and make them feel like an object.

If she was that uncomfortable and taken aback maybe she couldn't say anything. Especially as he is a very powerful individual. This is the problem with putting the onus on women; if these men didn't harrass us in the first place there would be no issue.

As a young women who spent years working in hospitality I've been harassed many times. More often than not, particularly when I was in my teens, I didn't feel comfortable talking back to men who are older and/or bigger than me. Even now I don't like to confront men just in case.

Oh trust me we have backbones. We're just sick of grown men getting away with harassing and abusing us. You truly think all women are just wimps and we should just deal with it? (As if we haven't done exactly that for centuries...)
